Prior to the launch of this website on October 14th and prior to October 1st, which was the day Mindy and I flew to Seattle for the start of our 2,027 mile trip, I resided in Salida, CO. Well for two and half years constant, at least. It was an important time in my life, a time of challenge, growth, change, and more growth. This has also been true in my photography as well. Bare with me while I digress.
December 2012, January 2013, and February 2013 were spent on the beaches of Costa Rica. My girlfriend at the time, Tegan McDonough, and I ran a small photography company, Ramblin On Photography, where we teamed up with the local surf shop, Frijoles Loco, and photographed their surf lessons. Some weeks were real busy and we worked 12-16 hour days and some weeks were slow, but we ended up breaking even on our stay there and learned a lot about what it means to run a business.
Coming from that experience, plus others involving roaming of the wild west with my camera, I had developed an eye for landscape and nature photography. After much positive feedback from friends, family, and strangers, I decided to focus my attention on photography. I spent the next few years shooting the landscapes and fall scenes of the Upper Arkansas River Valley and surrounding areas. You can see the collection here.
